Comment: good all round laptop. i had it for one year now and ive returned it to dell twice, with faulty hard drive both times.
dell make you waste so much money on the phone its unbalivable. i was on the phone 30 to 40 minutes bothe times, just to send it off for them to repair it.
VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!

Good: Dell design
Bad: overheating, noise fan
Comment: Returned to the shop as it overheat and the fan is on at all time even with temp around 40 degree C, too bad for a Dell

Good: Design
Bad: Unreliable, Wifi Issues, overheats
Comment: Stay AWAY! Avoid buying Dell altogether, I have had this system for less than a year and I have been plagued with problems. Motherboard replaced twice, hard drive replaced twice, CPU, cooling fan wifi... all replaced.
I have massive internal issues and Dell can't figure out how to fix it.....wifi disconnects itself randomly and screen goes all white.
Customer service avoiding replacement - Do not buy!!!

Good: Fast, well-built, good preferences (RAM etc.) and shiny :D
Bad: Lacks numeric keypad (including num lock and scroll lock) and USB ports
Comment: This is a very good laptop. It's fast and stylish. What more could you want? It has 6GB RAM, 450GB memory (despite it supposedly having 500GB) AND an HD screen! The other reviews are reviewing Dell's services (which aren't great) or how it hasn't been delivered yet, they aren't actually reviewing the computer. I mean, yes, it does have some not-so-good elements like the fact that it only has 3 USB ports or it has no numeric keyboard but overall it is a great piece of technology.

Good: Nice and simple, does everything well so far.
Bad: Bloatware
Comment: Despite what everyone's been saying about dell's service (which is true btw it's abysmal) the laptop itself is very good. I had a problem with paying which is how I found out how poor their service was but I just cancelled it and re-ordered and now I have my laptop. No problems.
It's fast, it can run games, it can write documents, speakers aren't v. nice but just use headphones, screens great, windows 7 works like a charm and finally the laptop is built well too.
If you have no problems with getting your laptop, and you can look after it reasonably well yourself you won't regret your purchase whatsoever. As far as I could tell from shopping around, it was the best value laptop on sale when I bought it and probably still will be when you read this.

Good: Good at taking your money
Bad: Poor at delivering on promise
Comment: Dell is great at letting you pay, but very poor at service and delivery. Never delivered my product and 3 months later still waiting for money back.

Good: It looked good and was easy to use
Bad: Dell Aftersales Service
Comment: Laptop arrived with damaged case. Contacted Dell who sent me a replacement - fantastic no! Replacement has same damage.
Then send me replacement case and order details state engineer will fix. 3 weeks later chasing Dell for engineer and arrange a date.
Take time off work - no engineer.
Meanwhile left key of touch keypad starts sticking or failing to respond.
Chase Dell for engineer and they say no engineer scheduled and that I have to take ANOTHER day of work to wait infor him.
I ask if they can just send out a perfect replacement laptop and allow me to return mine plus replacement case. Saving then an engineer call out and me another day off work. THEY SAY CANNOT DO IT.
RESULT - They are collecting laptop and giving me a refund.
ALL OF THIS TIME I HAVE BEEN BOUNCED AROUND ON THE ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH PHONE SYSTEM BEING CUT OFF, HELD HANGING, TALKING TO PEOPLE WITH NO POWER - this last took an hour of phone call to get this result.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - AFTERSALES IS TOTALLY RUBBISH.
