Good: Almost everything
Bad: small chip 2 the right side trackpad, also the fans r quite loud after a short period of time
Comment: Runs fast, even tho my internet con is bad, good graphics quality, etc every thing good apart from the above mentioned faults. the chips on the laptop r very common apparently, otherwise all very good. I would definitely recommend this 2 some1 looking 4 a good laptop

Good: Only the operating system
Bad: Read the review
Comment: I had my 13' Macbook for over 3 years. Through out the whole time I had nothing but bad experience. 5-6 months after the purchase I had noticed a chip on the right side of the keyboard panel close to the mouse pad. It was impossible to fix and because I did not have a warranty I could not return it; the plastic quality is appalling. Some half a year later I had my hard drive replaced due to a fault in many Mac. Unfortunately, I discovered the scale of this issue only when it affected me. Read the blogs online, you will be surprised. The replacement didn't cost me anything (as one would expect), but a lot of my personal data was lost, which had a great sentimental value to me. About another year later I had to buy a new battery, because the old one just would not last for more than 15 minutes! Again, a fault common in MacBook.
Another 4 months or so later, my hard drive failed again. This time I lost about 2 years worth of photos, a lot of my academic work and research documents.
READ THE REVIEWS ONLINE BEFORE YOU BUY.

Good: Ultra fast boot up, crisp screen, slick OS, epically good keyboard
Bad: slightly heavy, only two usb ports
Comment: I'd only used windows pc's until a couple of months ago. However I decided to switch to mac. It is the best investment I have made since. The mac operating system is far superior to windows. It is faster, more secure, easy to use and has a wonderful GUI. It boots up fast, is well put together and has a decent battery life.
If you are thinking about buying a mac, DO IT. Its the best decision you will have made- live a virus free life!

Good: Perfect design, perfect usability, perfect battery time, perfect gadgets, perfect OS...
Bad: A teeny bit too heavy...
Comment: Not much more to add! Have had this for almost a year, hasn't gone wrong not once, and it's so perfect that I sometimes can't stand the thought I can't get anything better than it!!

Good: The looks and styling, the fact that its a Mac, speed etc...
Bad: iSight webcam doesn't work with MSN yet
Comment: This is a replacement for my Packard Bell EasyNote laptop which was frankly quite rubbish, the Macbook is on a whole different level in terms of battery life, looks, speed, and the quality of the operating system. This is by far the best laptop and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend loads on the Air or doesn't need a Pro for high speed gaming etc.., overall a very good laptop, and one of the best around today!

Good: Integrated Camera, Trackpad, Connectivity (Internet/Bluetooth etc)
Bad: A little bit heavy.
Comment: Ok, It's only been a few days since I've bought this MacBook (2GHz and 160GB). I haven't used it much, but I have used it enough to be able to give a fairly good review on it.
So, there are quite a few good things I can say:
1. Finder Application is superb... type something in, and there's a 99% chance that you'll find what you're looking for.
2. Integrated camera - fun to take pictures instantly.
3. Dashboard application - abit like google side bar, nice applications called 'widgets'
4. Stickies application - allows you to make sticky notes - I guess the name gives it away!
5. iTunes and iPhoto - iPhoto allows you to view your pictures as an automatic slideshow with your own music from iTunes and you can change settings to change the slide transition etc - all within minutes...or even less!!
6. CONNECTIVITY!! amazing!! superb!! brilliant!! bluetooth aswell! ... you should get the Mighty Mouse aswell ... connected via bluetooth! ... cool little gadget!
7. trackpad and keyboard which is spacious!!
Ok, there are more good things, and other things which I still have to play around with to get to know. But here are a few things I don't really like, not major things, most of their solutions are 'the more you use it, the more you get used to it!' but anyway here they are...
1. a little bit heavy but you can't really complain about that!
2. no right click button (mouse or trackpad)
3. I bough 'iwork08' with the macbook, it's alright but there are alot of things that I miss which is in Microsoft Office but not iwork08. Yes I could get office08 but i've heard that it isn't very good so I don't want to risk it. Might consider a free trial though to test it out. But as I said above, the more i use it....
4. can't seem to save an image from the internet or elsewhere ... no idea why!!
....i think it's time to start reading the 'Switching to Mac' book that I bought for $35. ... pretty big book....contents page looks interesting....looks like it is worth the $35!!
Anyway, so that's just my first few impressions of the MacBook! So, would i recommend it?
YES....definitely!!!
As I said above, if you're new to mac like me, it'll take some time getting used to it!
By the way, if you are new to mac, Apple stores around the world offer a one hour training session ... it's one to one and you can have one session a week at an apple store....yearly membership for this in UK is GBP79.00 and $99.00. Unfortunately they don't do one-off sessions! But the price seems pretty reasonable!!
Good Luck with buying!!

Good: Keyboard, display, trackpad, user interface, wireless internet access
Bad: It's a bit heavy...
Comment: I purchased my macbook a couple of weeks ago. I knew from reading other reviews on the internet that i would like it, but i didnt know i would love it!
Unlike the other macbooks, the keyboard on this one is nicely spaced out and really comfy to use. The display is brilliant... awsome colours and really clear to read.
This is my first mac, and indeed first time ive used OS X. I am stunned at how easy it is to use and navigate around. I prefer it by miles to Windows XP/Vista.
Another thing i love about it is the wireless connection. It usually takes me ages to connect to the internet on my PC, and set up my internet connection, but on here it was almost instant!
However, i would say that it is a tad too heavy. But that doesn't bother me at all.
So, if your looking into buying a mac and you are impressed by things youve read on the internet... GO FOR IT! you will never go back to a PC again!
