Good: the operational system
Bad: read below
Comment: I had my 13' Macbook for over 3 years. Through out the whole time I had nothing but bad experience. 5-6 months after the purchase I had noticed a chip on the right side of the keyboard panel close to the mouse pad. It was impossible to fix and because I did not have a warranty I could not return it; the plastic quality is appalling. Some half a year later I had my hard drive replaced due to a fault in many Mac. Unfortunately, I discovered the scale of this issue only when it affected me. Read the blogs online, you will be surprised. The replacement didn't cost me anything (as one would expect), but a lot of my personal data was lost, which had a great sentimental value to me. About another year later I had to buy a new battery, because the old one just would not last for more than 15 minutes! Again, a fault common in MacBook.
Another 4 months or so later, my hard drive failed again. This time I lost about 2 years worth of photos, a lot of my academic work and research documents.

Good: Design; portability; bright screen; speed (1GB+ RAM is a must); connectivity; large trackpad; FrontRow; dual OS's and of course Tiger+iLife included
Bad: Heat
Comment: The best laptop I have ever used. The only thing I don't like is the heat, but this is to be expected with any laptop that is just an inch thick, and has such a fast processor. It packs in the features, forget what people say; how many people actually use the expresscard port? Is it really that essential to have a card reader? Especially when laptop ones are normally the wrong one for your camera.
AirPort Express is a dream to use, no hitches AT ALL. FrontRow - there is nothing simpler to use, beautiful to look at, and best of all, it plays everything in iTunes.
OS X: I'm a 'halo effect' switcher, and it really is true; it's as easy as iPod+iTunes. The whole OS is, iLife, everything. Click on something and it does what you want it to. And if like me, you must use Windows as well it works quickly, and is easy to install, even Vista is a breeze to install although not officially supported.
Overall, a brilliant laptop, with only one problem, though this problem is industry-wide. Forget what others say. This MacBook just works.

Good: Speed, Core Duo, 13.3-inch widescreen (portable), tough construction, iSight
Bad: Integrated graphics
Comment: It's a great laptop for uni, portable and fast.
Only thing is the integrated graphics. If it had an ATi x1400, it would be the perfect laptop. But still, if you want to play games, you buy a PlayStation!
