Good: I dont know
Bad: Same answer like abvoe...
Comment: Maybe im gonna like it :)
Comment: Great review & looks like the perfect laptop for my needs.
Pity you can't actually buy it! How can you do a review of a laptop that isn't available for the public to buy, Acer don't even list it themselves.
Bad: screen resolution
Comment: I won't be buying a laptop till these stupidly low screen resolutions get fixed. At this price I would expect something like 2048x1600, not something from a Vtech childs toy
Comment: Firstly, at 20mm thick, I have to question whether the label of "ultrabook" is really applicable?
But my main concern here is heat, and noise. With a relatively slim chassis, and a graphics card capable of handling that level of gaming, heat is going to be a real problem. The only way to deal with that is with a decent fan and airflow, and the only way to provide that is a relatively beefy chassis, which this laptop evidently doesn't have.
I love the idea of a really portable laptop that can handle this level of gaming, but in practise, I'm not sure how possible it is.
The Sony Vaio SA series achieved this quite well with the HD 6630m GPU, but when you play games on it, it's incredibly loud (notebookcheck's review of the vaio SA recorded up to 47dB... that's incredibly loud). Though maybe it being a 15.6incher solves that?
So could you by any chance provide details regarding fan noise and heat with this laptop? And particularly if there's any throttling of the CPU under strenuous conditions?
