Typical price: £540
What is it: Low-cost, colourful 15.4-inch desktop replacement
What we think: It has a good mix of features for the price, but we'd be tempted to save up for a thinner, lighter XPS

It breaks all the time!
Review:
I was really pleased when I ordered this (having weighed up a few options). When it turned up early I was even more pleased. However it wouldn't even turn on. I decided to give Dell the benefit of the doubt as it had turned up early as so after some arguing (they wanted to fix the one they has sent me rather than send me a new one) I managed to get a new one delivered.
At first the initial excitement made me overlook the 'niggles' but when it started to get worse - not turning on, running excessively slow, crashing, not re-starting after using the sleep function, different internet browsers stopping working - I decided to call Dell again. I have now spoken to them on numerous occasions and all they suggest is running a diagnostic and resetting the system. The next step (this week) will be lodging a dispute with Mastercard. I would avoid this at all costs - my Samsung NC10 Netbook is far superior and far cheaper!
