Typical price: £1,850
What is it: Ultraportable laptop
What we think: Though costly and heavier than the ThinkPad X40 it replaces, the ultraportable ThinkPad X41 is still a good choice for the corporate road warrior. A dream machine for the business traveller

We like:
Light and thin design; comfortable keyboard; fingerprint reader; dedicated security hardware; includes multimedia dock; excellent battery life
We don't like:
Expensive; heavier than the ThinkPad X40; pedestrian 4,200rpm hard drive
You might also need:
The X4 UltraBase dock is a great travelling companion for those who want more ports and an optical drive
CNET UK judgement:
Though costly and heavier than the ThinkPad X40 it replaces, the ultraportable ThinkPad X41 is still a good choice for the corporate road warrior. A dream machine for the business traveller
