Good: Great concept
Bad: Portable bit falls over, poor sound quality, feels cheap
Comment: When I saw this I thought it was a brilliant idea! I bought one from Currys for £99 and thought what a bargain! My mind totally changed when I got it home. I put my 160gb Classic in it and the portable bit practically fell out when I tried to control the volume from my iPod screen, I know it has a remote but sometimes you want to use your screen as well and I think you should be able to. I wouldn't feel at all confident having it on a shelf, in fact I wasn't confident leaving it on a table which is partly why I took it back. I had it for a day and had had enough, the falling out thing was too much for me to take and when using just the portable bit the risk of it falling over was even greater. I know I have one of the heavier iPods but it is supposed to be compatible with all.
On to the sound quality, to say it was 38 watts, I am confused, my 15 watt portable Sony boombox is louder. Also the Duo has a sub but no control over the treble and bass, I know this wouldn't be standard on something that had a sub but it would of been a good idea as on tracks with a lot of bass it sounded pretty rough.
To sum up, the product felt cheap overall, this is mostly caused by the portable bit feeling very flimsy in the main part. Plus the sound quality should have been much better for the price. I really wish it would have been good as I really wanted it to be.
Guess I'll have to buy two seperate speakers...

Good: Value for money - it's basically two good speakers in one
Bad: It doesn't have a radio but then nor do lots of home ipod speakers
Comment: That front part of the speaker is following me round the house - it's genius!
