Good: becos it haw windows
Comment: verry good
Comment: I agre that this review feels a bit to eager to please some apple-users with a totally different product and an overpriced tag...
Theres a feeling too that the "bad" sides of this products are a bit exaggerated except the fact that the design is plain and the tablet is "fat", but it doesnt make sense comparing it with the retina.
So maybe Toshiba is on the right track? I dont think that apple need any more defenders of its brand thats a bit silly willy.
Comment: You didn't mention how well the micro hdmi port works. I have to agree with the other commenters that this review glaringly glosses over some of the major features of this machine, I planned on buying one as a desktop replacement/tablet. I'd connect it to a full sized monitor + Bluetooth kb/mouse when working and use it as a tablet while travelling. When you review iPads to you mark them down because it isn't a full desktop replacement?
Comment: Totally agree with Mark. The article title says "Toshiba Encore review" not "Toshiba Encore compared against a product it doesn't even compete with".
Why wouldn't you compare out it to products it one of the other 8"Windows tablets recently released? (Dell Venue pro, Lenovo Miix2, acer W4, etc..).
Absolutely useless review.
Comment: Mark. I believe the review specifically compares the Encore to the iPad mini (retina) which costs £319 online. So that's a £70 difference assuming you're comparing the cheapest Encore Pad with the cheapest iPad retina. In the grand scheme of things, I think that places the two tablets within a similar price bracket. I would be interested in reading one of your reviews. If you get the time, maybe you could fart one online somewhere so that I, and the public at large can get a taste of your reviewing prowess.
Comment: What is wrong with CNET reviewers recently? Stop comparing tablets that cost under £300 to the f**king iPad. Of course it has a lower screen resolution than the iPad. Moron. It's also two HUNDRED pound cheaper.
First was the ridiculous Nexus 7 2013 review two weeks ago, which was a joke and I hope the reviewer got the boot for that one. And now this? It's not an iPad, it's not trying to be an iPad. So why compare it to one?
Part of writing a product review is to rate the product on its merits and failings as a standalone product. Not constantly compare to a similar, much more expensive product. Terrible writing, I could fart a better review out than this drivvle.
