Comment: i am thinking about getting this, on the internet on the curry's website it tells me that is is £158.00. I was wondering if it takes a sim card so i can make calls on it. Can you please get back to me as quickly as possible :)
Bad: WiFi, poor customer service
Comment: I bought GT2 7.0 3G version on 10th Nov 2012 at Stratford Samsung Shop. From Day 1 i have been facing weird network issues with the Tablet over Wifi, Signal strength drops when i hold the tablet in portrtait mode and improves and remains consistent when in landscape mode. sound literally weird. poor hardware.
Today(1st Dec 2012) i took the tablet to the samsung store in stratford and they are claiming that its not at all a fault, just imagine, that shop has almost 50+ products on display consuming wireless network and their network strength is so strong all over the shop for demos. Is samsung expecting the same kind of wifi at users place as well? the person to whom i spoke to first inspected and agreed that its a fault and asked me to come back after an hour and by then he started to decline the problem and started saying wifi will fluctuate. But how will there be a vast difference between holding the tablet in Portrait and Landscape modes. they neither accepted for the replacement nor exchange.
my wrists are paining like anything in holding the tablet for reading books & watching videos in landscape mode for long time. really frustrating.
Attached letter from Carphoneware house Geek Squad regarding the fault.
If you have money to spend, Buy Samsung product, irrespective of the product they sell.
Their after sales support is awkward.
Comment: I dumped my Google Nexus7 and got the Galaxy and I must admit I like the look and feel of it. The SD slot is a real bouns. The camera isn't top notch but then I only use it for snaps. I use my camera if I want better photos. I don't use it for games so I don't have processor speed issues. I also find the screen is brighter than the Nexus even thought the resolution is a little less.
Good: Light weight, decent screen, expandable memory, nice design and runs ICS
Bad: Power button easy to accidentlly hit. Top placement would have been better
Comment: I bought this tablet as I wanted something that was small, light weight, easy to use, had full bluetooth (not crippled like on iOS devices). I really enjoy using this tablet and with a memory card i expanded its memory to nearly 40gb. The new iPad maybe faster with a bigger and better screen but once you buy the entry level model with just wi-fi and 16gb..16 is all you have at over £300. £199 for 8gb expandable by 32gb for an extra £20 is better value.
Good: It's light and portable !
Bad: Camera is not great!
Comment: I bought the note, found that I like the smallness of a the note, but found that as a phone its a bit annoying. I wanted to be able to still have that portability of a tablet size. I looked at everything that was around, and it all seemed clunky. I really wasn't concerned about it being really powerful because I have two very expensive laptop/desktop Macs, and I really didn't feel I needed it for anything but to play on face book, or surf around while having coffee. I think it does the trick, and my smaller iphone tethers to give it internet wherever I want it. So I am happy ! I would have waited for the smaller ipad, but I prefer the android system, I think it's more interesting.
Good: Micro SD card slot + ICS
Bad: 3mp camera
Comment: Samsung are making too many versions of their tablets. While choice is a great thing, it is hard to distinguish between the features offered on the different models. Glad to see the inclusion of a Micro SD card slot, which was omitted from the 8.9" tab. (an omission which lost them many a sale, I'm sure).
Happy with my original 7" Tab, but would like it even more if Samsung had chosen to give us an ICS update!
Good: Any upgrade to Galaxy Tab P1000 is a great oppurtunity
Bad: Kies PC Support Software
Comment: I have had a 7'' P1000 Galaxy Tab for 8 months. I gave away a iPad2 to get the Tab. Best decision tech wise I have ever made. Great features, performance and that 32GB mini SD card is a boon for Data, Photos and Music management, By pass Kies. Buy Sygic Maps, use the GPS and avoid high Internet costs that Google Maps devours. It is my companion and for a frequent traveller- nothing beats it. Oh and as an E-Reader beats the competition. If only I could justify buying the new version.
Bad: Needs sim card
Comment: When you can surf everywhere it will be great
