Good: robust generally swift to use

Bad: can't stream video without dropping, poor connectivity, disabled SDcard, inability to connect to any external storage, poor customer service, difficult to use storage

Comment: Sorry to say but don't buy it! I so wanted this to be a great tablet. I am amazed that reviewers haven't tested this device properly.I bought 3 devices for my company and all have the same issues...
big issues are:
A: no way to connect or use an external sd card - they installed but disabled a slot (and no don't believe the reviews that tell you it has one, these refer to the old model) AND if you connect an external SD card or USB key the OS won't recongnise it.
B: it can't hold a connection to stream video properly - doesn't matter what the source or what wifi connection, you can't view streaming video for more than 20 minutes without the video stalling, the audio continues!
C: customer service/ support is available but gives deliberately misleading advice like 'try recording a video with the tablet and playing this back'! for the problem above (the issue is to do with maintaining the stream). they then say that they can't support third party software - when streaming video is using their provided browser
D: dropping wifi connections, NB this is a different issue to the video streaming.but might be connected.. the tablet drops perfectly good wifi connections provided by some routers. these can include recent big name devices such as Netgear and in some public wifi locations. Again customer service ust balme the other devices.

My HTC android phone can stream all day and connects everywhere...

DON'T BUY THE XOOM2 it's flawed - it works well in some ways but you'll really wish you got an iPad or Samsung after a couple of days.
Motorola prove me wrong or refund the purchase price!

Good: Fast, beautiful crystal clear screen, remarkably good audio

Bad: Usual Android problems of finding stuff

Comment: This was a birthday present. I have the 16GB WiFi version and although I'm just starting out, it's proving really amazing. I just wish it came with a manual/handbook/user guide. Searching for answers can be really tedious if you can't think of the right keyword.

Good: So far everything - first tablet and love it already

Bad: Cannot get a case for it at present

Comment: I had to reset the Xoom to factory settings on day two as I could not get into the internet a day after I purchased it; day one everything was fine; the second day I could not do anything to get the internet running. On day three now and it it looks OK

I own it

Good: Smaller more portable design

Bad: No Micro SD card slot

Comment: The original Xoom was not that bad and these look like a good update.

I do find however your comments about the tablets not having ICS ill informed. Google have only just announced ICS and not yet released the code to any other manufacture other than Samsung. Therefore how could Motorola include ICS at release. Its bad reporting like this that puts people off being devices for no good reason.

The original Wifi Xoom has been updated to 3.2 and I see no reason why Motorola would not update the Xoom 2 to ICS.

I want it

Good: ...its an alternative to the ipad

Bad: ...its no contender to the ipad

Comment: The only people who will buy this are people who hate apple.

Good: It runs android and has an up to date processor

Bad: It's virturally the same as the first xoom, at first glance.

Comment: With this devices cores only having 200mhz more power it being a little bit light .... and thats about it, it seems a huge waste of time and money when the first xoom will go down in price now....
Not too impressed with this! At least when the transformer prime comes out with a quad core CPU we will see come real improvement.
