Good: Battery, Internet Browser, Operating Speed, Features
Bad: Nothing Really.
Comment: Had the blackberry playbook for 3 weeks now and have to say i am absolutely amazed by it. The speed in which it loads up web-pages, games ETC is amazing. The battery life is pretty good too for a tablet, may be other tablets out there with better battery life, i don't know but this tablet has a awesome battery life. Since the update there has been more apps added to the store, in my opinion, and the fact it now has a integrated email is the works.
I highly recommend the product over any Ipad or Galaxy tablet. Quite a bargain too for a 16GB @ £169.
Good: Perfect size, smooth high quality resolution & sound
Bad: No 3G facilities, so wen I use d bridge application it fanatically slow, annoying
Comment: Itz pretty awesome bt the lack of 3G facility is really a great drawback.
Good: great multitasking, amazing 1080p recording and great camera, great battery life lasts up to or even longer than 10 hours.
Bad: lack of apps, no email client
Comment: The blackberry playbook is on par with higher end tablets such as the ipad 2 and samsung s galaxy tab.
The blackberry playbook has 1ghz proccessor and 1gb of ram.it also has one of the best multitasking avaliable. not to mention the 3 meapixel camera on the front and the 5 megapixel camera on the back. (capable of recording in 1080p).
when it comes down to it. if your a person who wants to play angry birds n read books all day long. (get the ipad or kindle fire if your lookin at a all rounder tablet that does everything. n yes after the os 2.0 update, it will have apps and will be able to do just about everything. i bought one and i am very happy. i can browse the web take amazing photos. play a few games. check my word documents on the go. (im a uni student so that helps a lot). its a perfect device. also it makes sense to be able to tether your phone. i mean. y pay extra money for a sim card on a 3g network when i can tether using my phone's 3g/4g connection and be able to surf n browse the net. makes sense n your wallet wont lose weight.
Comment: At the new reduced price and with the OS 2.0 software out next month, its a great buy.
Good: liquid-fluent operating system
Bad: why developers chose to support inferior tablets (lack of apps)
Comment: brilliantly smooth.
true multimedia experience!!
multi-tasking like its windows 7!!
the ability to load nearly every web page and use the features within that page e.g you can actually go to miniclip.com and play games online as if you were on your pc!!!
micro hdmi just plugs in and your off!! 1080p on my tv and i can still browse by playbook whilst watchin a movie on the tele!! the simple fact that Apple arrogantly charge you an extra £35 for the hdmi add-on just winds me up!! and this is just as thin as the ipad or any other tablet!!
this has apps but its more about the high def screen, 1080p cameras (FRONT and REAR!!!), fully capable multi-media experience and the seemless web browser!!
im currently using the beta 2.0 OS and the potential should blow the competition away, though its still buggy in its beta stage. got my 32gb for£279! bargain!
Comment: The browsing experience is better than an ipad in my mind and the smaller size makes it easier to use.
Good: great apps,fast internet,amaaaazing zoom,cool games everything!
Comment: this playbook is the greatest tablet i ever seen! So sync with everything! My friends have Ipad and i can't see anything good on them. Not take me wrong, they work pretty good, but after a week my friends were already bored.I have a bberry torch, that helps me big time, but this playbook is really addictive! Not listen bad publicity, get something diferent, get a playbook !
Good: you dont waste money buying handicapped Apps
Comment: I have an ipad - I like it.... But I love my playbook!
well the first hour with the playbook you think "yes thats nice"
the next couple of days..."Wow!" Mindblowing functionality...
I think its because apple is a tad greedy. you think you get a lot on the surface- but then you find simply amazing blocks to functionaility HIDDEN under the ipad sparkle..
whereas RIM is generous - underneath HIDDEN, is VALUE..
imagine diamonds - no one told you were there !
contacts email diary - just use google on the playbook, whats the problem? Anyways, surely you have a phone that has them - and can work with the cloud?
Even if you hold contacts email diary against it.. imagine FULL WEB in your pocket. I now enjoy looking at the BBC website because I get all their rich content now. Ipad, I now pull a face I'm afraid. There will be a few disgruntled school kids when they realise their ipad2 is a LOT more limited than they though, when their friend pulls out a Playbook..
THANKYOU RIM for a genuine product: a true powerhouse under a humble skin..
Good: It's FREE
Bad: It does take a little time
Comment: You can easily get one of these for free, all you do is join playbookforfree.co.uk and do one of the offers. There are a couple that are free. Then you get other people to join and do offers and you can get the Playbook or iPad2 for free
Bad: indipendant email and calander added later
Comment: i really want this, but i will have to wait until the summer for email and calendar to be added without blackberry bridge.
i will buy it then :)
and i hope it comes down in price a bit by then, although £400 is quite a good price for it.
RIM have done a good job with the OS, the touch bezel gestures look very good :D
