Comment: Started off decently, screen defected after several months.
Sent it off for repair - received a replacement instead.
The replacement defected after three days (!)
Archos will not even give me a chance to explain why I demand a refund, it's "swap or nothing."
Worst customer service ever, and an almost equally rubbish product. AVOID.

Bad: Reliability, build quality
Comment: Purchased at the beginning of May 2012 - I have (had) the Turbo Version 1.5 GHz 250Mhz Drive and I am in the middle of returning my third replacement unit under warranty. This costing me for postage and insurance each time it goes back The micro USB socket has failed on the first two. Extremely sloppy fit which gave an intermittent data transfer. The last one arrived two days ago and had an intermittent screen problem, making it unwatchable. I can not fault the return procedure but it is cost me each time it goes back and to be honest it is pretty annoying. All i want is a working unit.

Good: Excellent screen
Bad: Can run sluggish after opening too many apps (lack of RAM)
Comment: May be plastic, but still feels very robust. I have the 101G9 16GB with the 1.2GHz processor, so a bit nippier than the 8GB one.
I went into shops and compared the feel, build quality and screen quality of a large number of tablets - and for the price, this was the best buy in my book - and there WILL be ICS for these!

Good: Cost. - - ONLY!
Bad: Faulty Screen, total failure of Archos to resolve problems
Comment: DONT BUY IT!!! Faulty screen out of the box, had to pay £15 to send it back. Product should be replaced under UK law, but Archos is French!!!! They dont reply to emails. The service centre has NO phone. Currently I am getting help from the company who are Archos's press and marketing company in the UK, who (UNLIKE ARCHOS) do understand how important customer care is. Next time I will pay the extra and get Ipad or Samsung, but not Archos ever again. 7 days later my tablet is still "in progress" whatever that means. Please Archos just replace it, that will take 7 minutes. Now Januray 19th and someone is still waiting for thier Christmas present.

Good: Not much; video
Bad: user interface is very poor and camera quality poor
Comment: Find it very difficult to scroll and remove excess widgets from the screen. sometimes easier reformatting the entire tablet. screen sometimes activates on movement (even though I've callibrated it a number of times). i.e. the web browser may come on without me touching the screen. I have the 16Gb turbo model, wish I'd gone for something else now!!!

Good: Everything! No seriously...
Bad: worst thing I can say is build quality but it is not too bad actually
Comment: After looking at many reviews including this one I decided I could compromise on the build quality and got one. After reciveing my product I had a few slight problems calibrated the touch screen and everything was perfect the games are so smooth and so is the OS. With the ICS update coming soon to this tablet I suggest getting it!!!

Good: cheap, value
Bad: can't say anything bad because i haven't used it
Comment: lol at shoeswith, you can't make that assumption without actually trying the device! remember your paying 400 $ for a tablet that has 250 gb hard drive when you could be spending 799 on one with 64 gb!

Good: cheap-ish
Bad: its made by archos
Comment: If this is like every other archos tablet it will have the build quality of a box of tissues,an asthmatic processor and a buggy half finished os that will get updates in double figures within the six months but hey its cheap so thats ok then
