Good: The screen is very clear , it looks good and it made out of quality materieals
Bad: Its fragile and it looks like the Ipad 2 it could be cheaper
Comment: The I pad is the best tablet you can buy and you won't be disapointed with it unles you drop it which brings me to the Ipad bad points the New Ipad is £499 or $599 in america which is not bad but the could be chaper also the screen is very fragile so you have to be very carefull to not drop it even if you drop it on carpet it will crack the screen. On the ipad you can do poverpoints , watch videos and lots more
The new Ipad is a good wait not good its very good compared to the other tablets which you can buy.

Good: Loads quickly, Good for viewing photos and getting email, can use as heater in winter!!
Bad: Heats better than radiator, freezes every now and then, many restrictions by Apple, no office app, no flash plug in
Comment: iPad 3 adds very little to iPad 2. Still has the loads of Apple restrictions as usual. Restricted connectivity, no SD, no USB, no HDMI . You can not connect or mirror to TV, without another expensive Apple box under your TV. Not even Siri, and no flash support for browsing. The list goes on. But most importantly, risk of fire.
The thing went so hot that you can easily cook an egg on it. It melted completely a chocolate bar I put in the carrying bag next to it. Just play angry birds and leave it in the background multitasking (not exiting it), and in 10-20 minutes you are ready to cook an egg. This also happens with Web to PDF app. A very useful App otherwise. I am certain that I will hear of explosions or fires with iPads in the news in the near future.
I should have waited for the Asus transformer 700. I would have got both worlds of tablet and laptop at the same time, and without the dictatorship behaviour of Apple, and with much better connectivity including SD, USB, HDMI. also a much longer battery life, good on the go and when going to meetings.
I have to live with iPad restricted functionality (not even office app for productivity ) and still keep my laptop next to it, but I will get the Asus transformer 700 for my kids who, now saw the difference and decided unanimously for the transformer dual and better functionality and beauty.

Good: Screen is brighter and sharper
Bad: Could be lighter
Comment: Am surprised how much difference the new screen makes compared to my original iPad. Was in two minds about whether to upgrade, but no regrets.

Good: Gorgeous 'Retina' Display
Bad: No USB port, no microSD card slot.
Comment: No doubt. The screen was the reason I bought it.
Still not happy with Apple's rigidity in file format support. MKVs can't be playback directly on iPad. MP4s need to be encoded with AVC H.264 standard for compatibility. Forget about encoding to MP4-Divx. Lose the ability to playback videos from playlist, as previously can on iPhone/iPod Touch.

Good: brilliant screen
Bad: not as super solid feeling as the ipad 1
Comment: Firstly- the reviewer's comment "...If you already own an iPad, either first or second generation, then I don't think you need to upgrade..."- I would totally disagree with this. Ok don't NEED to upgrade my iPAD 1. However, the screen quality is so good that it has totally changed mow much I read on the iPad- and the content I create on it. And so my iPad will be heading to a relative soon. After the iPad 1 this is not heavy at all - so the comment about being heavier only holds if you have an iPad 2 (which I don't).

Good: That amazing display
Bad: It is heavier than iPad2
Comment: All those commenters saying that there's no noticeable difference between the iPad2 display and the iPad3 are talking out of their hats. iPad2 was merely excellent, this one is just ludicrously good. Not experienced any issues with it warming up either, but it's early days. New one is noticeably heavier than old though, which is a shame but inevitable given that it's all battery and I've gone for the 4G model (I know, I know, but I'm quite happy with 3G) which also adds weight.
Knew all the potential downsides before I handed over the folding and was 50/50 as my existing iPad2 was such a good bit of kit already. The screen sealed the deal, it is just gorgeous. Plus daughter is delighted with her 'new' iPad2

Good: In all fairness, just about everything
Bad: Nothing to really complain about
Comment: Excellent all round product. This is the pinnacle of the tablet market.
Apple has destroyed the competition.
I didn't notice any reference in the CNET review about the fact that the iPad3 with 4G, works OK with the 3G network. The review only pointed out that 4G is nor available yet in the UK ( as most people already knew)
