Good: The operating system
Bad: Screen quality
Comment: The ipad mini is almost the perfect tablet for me, i love the size and the lightness of the device. Along with the os which i really do prefer on tablets mainly due to there being so many apps built around the ipad.
For the money i don't think you can really go wrong with the ipad mini and am very happy with the purchase.
The only drawback i can see is the lack of retina display which would have for me made this little tablet close to perfect, But although it is not retina the screen quality is still very impressive and by no means poor.
Comment: Loved this review, it's a really great product, I don't know what I would do without it! But if like me you were a bit shocked with the price here's a tip on how to get this item for basically a £10 and a little bit of work!
All you need to do is go to www.the free scene.com (remove spaces) and sign up for any offer you like.
Its all been proven by BBC, CNN, Channel 4 and Channel 5
I hope this helps someone on here!
Comment: I recently got the base model for Christmas and I love it! I have never experienced any problems with it and its great for everyday usage and for my schoolwork. The selection of apps is great and I personally love Apple's own pages and keynote apps which are great for my schoolwork. I have seen a lot of reviews complaining about the screen resolution and Apple's A5 chip. I am used to the first and second generation iPads so these "flaws" don't phase me. Overall a great tablet that I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of purchasing it. I would say if you are used to using newer generation iPads then you may be a little disappointed.
Comment: Excellent portability and form factor
Comment: Wanting to get one for the OH for Christmas. I love apple, but to be fair, I was drawn more to the Nexus 7.
Only problem being, we have slowly drifted onto apple territory, starting with my new gen. iPad last spring, then his iPhone 4S, then my iPhone 5. So I am kind of 'stuck' with apple now.
Those sneaky monkeys!
Little disappointed to read about the screen resolution, although he plays more games than watching films so the size would be more practical.
Yes. Think I will get it!,
Good: Body and looks
Bad: High price, low screen resolution & aspect ratio, no camera flash, nano sim, no sd card slot
Comment: You're praising 4:3 screen ratio for ebook reading, but, what about wide-screen 16:9 movies? go check it.

Bad: I haven't bought it yet
Comment: It looks great to me - and I've held it...! don't believe all these people who say they "own it" then trot out all the usual sour grapes we always get from non Mac lovers.
Comment: how they gave this 4 stars is beyond me.. crappy screen, old ios, expensive. Stay away from this one
Good: great design, lightweight, nice selection of apps
Bad: processor, screen (uuhgg), lack or ram, expensive
Comment: well it's nicely designed and i do like the extra screen size. That's where the good ends and the bad starts.....for $330 this should be retina screen with a6 cpu. It is really a tragidy that people are rating this so high just because its made by apple. I also have a nexus 7 and that thing blows this out of the water. For all future reviewers I would say ask yourself what rating would you give the mini if it wasn't made by apple......think of it for a sec. Yeah company X makes a tablet with a low def screen, old proessor, low ram and old ios, but it has a nice alluminum backing, but it costs close to 70% more than the nexus 7. EXACTLY, everyone would say its dead on arrival.
So that's my star rating for the mini....2 stars at best. For the price this should be wayyyyy better.
Good: Large amount of optimsed apps, good build quality
Bad: Expensive, No retina display, speed of the CPU is inadequate as well as the GPU, Screen is sometimes unresponsive.
Comment: As someone who was eagerly waiting the press release of this iPad Mini, I could hardly contain my excitement. That was short lived when I found out the specs. However, I thought I would give the iPad Mini the chance it deserves. How disappointed I was. The screen, is a huge letdown. I know Apple could have incorporated the "retina" display but didn't for obvious reasons. Sometimes the screen appeared to be quite fuzzy, expecially when comparing this to my phone. I'm sure they will change this in 6 months, but I feel the premium price, they should include this. I also found the A5 to be quite inadequate and load up times were slow. Needless to say the selection of Apps are great, however everything else has just left me dissapointed and let down. I took the unit back and decided to go with the Nexus 7. I have to say, i'm very impressed with absolutely everything about it. Don't listen to people who say there are no optimised apps, as I have found all the same ones that I use on my iPad on there.
