Comment: after using ios, going to android, you make make your own mind up ?
Comment: Why buy it when you can get it for FREE from freeipad-apple.co.uk like i did. Go there and follow the instructions to get your free iPad 2.
Good: Apple makes it...
Bad: No Flash?
Comment: No Flash?
Little difference between 1 and 2?
As much as it pains me to say - as i LOVE my Apple products such as my MacBook, iphone and ipod - i don't actually see why i would buy this over the much more practical android tablets??
Can anyone help me?? Why would i buy an ipad2 over any other tablet? - It's still not clear, even after ALL these reviews :(
Good: The thing thats good about it is that it's easy to carry and fun to play on.
Bad: The back and screen of iPad can get VERY dirty VERY quickly!!!!!
Comment: This iPad2 is great for kids or adults and the best thing is its easy to carry, fun to play on, helpful to work, there's loads of apps from education to games, sport to music, videos to photography and loads more!! The bad things are that the back of the iPad and the screen can get extremely dirty especially when you have kids with mucky fingers and dirty hands. The back then becomes very sticky and the screen becomes dirty with finger marks on but I so pose there is no way to stop that when you are have so much fun!!!! I also found that it's very sensitive and you have to be very carful.
For me a five star Rating as it is so brilliantly great way better than the first one!!
Overall I would recommend this ipad2 to kids or adults but with a case!
Good: Everything happens quickly
Comment: It annoys me when people keep going on about how there laptop can do more than the iPad 2 and therefore there's no point getting one. Yes, I could reach for my dell laptop and type this review on it but I'd have to wait ages for it to boot up and load all sorts of things that it thinks I might need. The IPad is more like a book. You just pick it up, and with 2 clicks you are there on the Internet. Another 2 clicks and youve got your favourite music playing (and at an acceptable quality, unlike the Dell). In the same space of time you are reading a book on it and, after a few minutes, you forget that it's not actually a proper book, which you never do on a laptop. You then can put it down on the table, supported by it's stand and have a display of photos in the best way for photos to be shown, and without having to worry about the battery giving out in half an hour.
Yes, I still need my laptop which i have for photoshop and some Office applications, but I don't have any affection for it in the way I have for the IPad.
One thing that worried me when I first saw the iPads being demonstrated in the Apple shop was that all the staff were going around with cloths to wipe the screens at every opportunity. In fact when you're using one, you, don't notice any smudges and the screen gives a great display.
It's just how computing should be, and now, for most of what people do with computers, it's all there. Just get one.
Good: Its fast, Lots of Apps, No flash ! large screen, cheap compared to 7" ers
Bad: weak camera
Comment: What can I say that hasn't already been said. Heading up an IT support department I use devices from all of the major manufacturers on a daily basis and no single device is yet perfect. However the iPad 2 is top of the heap. The large clear display and fast processor make using it a breeze. I use various apps for remote support (VMware, iRDesktop, vSphere, team viewer and citrix) and these run with ease connecting quickly using VPN over 3G.
Email is fully functional and supports multiple exchange accounts plus the normal gmail, pop3, imap etc
Having a 4:3 aspect ratio is also perfect for remote support rather than the common 16:9 used in the android 7" tablets.
We have been testing out the BB Playbook for the last week (we got a free trial from our supplier) but its the same cost as a 16GB 9.7" iPad and we can't recommend it for use due to the management's shift away from BES onto exchange and iPhones.
At this moment (june 2011) there is no other tablet which provides as complete a package as the iPad 2. We are waiting to try the HP tablets later this year (as we will probably get loads of free ones with our system purchases) and the Android tablets and RIM's playbook are effectively running 'beta' software at this time. Although the changes coming in iOS5 take the iPad 2 even further than these tablets.
We constantly companion devices and as such this review may change over time.
Flash is irrelevant in a business scenario. There is NO place for it, it is insecure and is often a cause of malware infections. By default we set all systems to use firefox along with a flash blocker and ad-blocker. Since doing this we have had a massive reduction of malware infections throughout the company.
Good: Battery life .apps
Bad: No flash player. You need a pc for it to work
Comment: its very clear the ipad2 is a glory fide iPod touch . Firstly you need a pc and download iTunes then install it onto your iPad 2 .there is no diagnostic or repair program so if you get a problem with the software you have to uninstall then reinstall.you can only update it when it's connected to pc.the lack of flash player is a real pain this means you can't play any face book games or look at a lot of websites
Good: The best tablet money can buy - by far
Comment: Magical and revolutionary. That just about sums it up.
