Good: Looks great, normal price tag for a tablet, quick and easy to use
Comment: I love my iPad, in fact I wrote this on a iPad- I just love everything about it. :)
Good: slim. lightwieght. high performance.
Bad: no usb, micro usb, HDMI, or any other port!
Comment: brilliant tablet, had it since it came out and it is still as fun as it was the day i bought it. very very smooth to use, no lag at all. Apple, when they put there minds to it, can actually make good products.
Good: It is absolutely brilliant in every single aspect. Quality and performance at its best!
Comment: LOVING IT!!! Trade my Galaxy for it and I was so impressed with the iPad 2 that I bought an iPod touch, iMac and just got the iPhone 4S. I will never ever again use technology that doesn't have an Apple logo on!!!! Apple is unbelievably brilliant!!
Good: Thin. Light. Fast
Bad: Nothing bad.
Comment: The best tablet in the market.
Good: Good looking
Bad: Two malfunctioning ipads in four months, no repair - so you lose films, video, pictures, apps, games etc. but get a brand new 3rd ipad!
Comment: I was offered an top of the range ipad mid October 2011. I went to the Appel Store in Covent Garden London and asked for a sim to be put in the ipad. I am over 60 years old and not good at technology. The sim did not work. I went back three times, finally I was told it was the ipad which was malfunctioning. I was offered a new ipad with a receipt which was less than what had been paid for the ipad. I lost two weeks data, yes,my first ipad lasted only two weeks.
The second ipad developped a malfunction after Xmas after ten weeks use. Facetime? Yes I could see my relatives and friends' faces, but my voice? They could not hear me (transatlantic mobile telephone bills). I thought I must have pressed the wrong keypad, I couldn't believe it. Today, 30 January 2012 I went back to the Apple Store in Covent Garden. A very helpful member of staff in blue told me "we will replace your ipad". So, I am faced for the second times in four months with losing my data. This includes all the 8mm films my son put on my ipad during Xmas, the 8mm from his childhood. He spent most of his time at home doing this for me, and he lives in North America. "You should back it" the nice person told me at the Apple Store. How? I am asking myself? My old PC has given up and I supposed it was the "authorised PC" so how can I back up? Oh, by the way I was also told "you can transfer from the ipad directly to an external hard drive". I thought fantastic! The member of staff in the blue sweathirt added : "but when you transfer from the hard external drive, the ipad will not recognise your authorised PC and will wipe out all the data". Any advice out there to a grandmother?
My advice to people like me who thought that Ipad would be easy, well think again: ipad2 are replaced. You get a brand new one, it is up to you to save your data, it might cost you to do so. What Apple provides is a new ipad minus your videos, films, contacts, notes, games, itunes, apps, books - the very reason you got the ipad in the first instance.
At least my PC lasted over four years - whilst TWO IPADS malfunctioned within 4 months!
Good: Lightning Fast, looks great - ultra thin and lightweight, vivid screen, iOS 5, good battery life
Bad: Only downside is it doesn't support flash which is annoying sometimes but apart from that, it really is hard to fault.
Comment: I got for Christmas and I certainly don't regret getting it. I have the 16gb wifi one and is amazing. Only regret for me was not getting the 32gb one as I need a bit more space but that isn't iPad's fault obviously!
The best bit about it is its lightning fast. Apps and web pages load up almost instantly. It also looks great and is very light to carry around. Also, iOS 5 is amazing and despite what some people say, the battery life is good although I wouldn't say its a 10 hour one Apple claim!
Only downside is no Flash which can be a right pain sometimes on web pages. Definately a great buy for me. It might not have the upperhand over Android when it comes to freedom on the internet, but absolutely whoops it in everything else.
Bad: Screen resolution
Comment: I'm going to wait for the iPad 3, a higher resolution screen would be fantastic
Comment: Awesome bit of kit, can't fault it in any way!
Bad: Complicated tasks
Comment: I love the iPad 2, I use it everyday cause I know it will just work. The apps are quality unlike android and the battery lasts all day for what I use it for. People say its bad cause it lacks flash but who actually uses flash on android, plus most videos are watchable on the iPad now. I would definitely recommend the iPad.
Good: Works seamlessly with iTunes, intuitive to operate, lots of apps.
Bad: Only works with iTunes, no flash.
Comment: A great device, useful for casual surfing and media consumption.
Not so great for serious work, where a laptop with a proper keyboard is better.
Main strength is the 3rd party peripheral support, asp with all iThings.
