Good: Fast, smooth, easy to use - and runs Android 4.4.2 (Kit Kat) since OTA update on Feb 21st.
Bad: Wish I'd got in a bit earlier when the price was lower ... now £140 but still happy with purchase.
Comment: Spent a lot of time looking at this and competing tablets before deciding to buy. Glad I did, used it as control device at a trade show from 20 - 23 Feb, where it performed very well.
Kept charge all day each day with plenty left to catch up on social media after a day's work.Comfortable in the hand and easy to slip into pocket when not in use. Was running Android 4.2 when I first bought it but two OTA updates have put it on the latest 4.4.2 version - impressive product support from NVIDIA (the manufacturer).
Have just seen news of an LTE version to be launched soon, addressing one of the niggles some people may have with the current model.
I'm happy with the screen resolution (same as 2012 Nexus 7, by the way) considering the price; we're talking about a £140 7" tablet here, after all!
The stylus pen/tool is very neat ... much more than a gimmick, genuinely useful for document editing or creation.
Offers so much more than the sub-£150 competitors I looked at (and there were plenty of those!) in my opinion and NVIDIA seem dedicated in their product support - which other tablets run Kit Kat in late Feb 2014?
As ever, try one first if you can, but in my experience, strongly recommended.
Good: Fantastically fast
Comment: This is an absolutely cracking tablet for the price. Its specs are way in excess of any tablet twice the price.
The screen may only be 1280x800, less than the current Nexus 7 (same as old Nexus 7), but contrary to the review I personally don't see any issue with it. I think the display is crisp, bright and colourful. Yes I am sure if you put it side by side with a new Nexus 7 with twice the pixel density you will notice the difference. I am happy with my current car but put it next to an Aston Martin DB9 and I would be envious!
Battery life is good, however mileage will vary depending what you do.
On the software side the tablet now runs Android 4.3, and hopefully 4.4 in due time. Various other OTA updates have also appeared. Personally I have not seen any of the software issues from the review, maybe these have all been squashed in 4.3.
As a first step into the tablet world I think this is the best 7" you can buy on a budget, especially as I managed to pick it up before Christmas for less than £90.
Comment: Also, since owning this device, I've had two nVidia updates which show nVidia's commitment to it. The system is now running Android 4.3 smooth as silk
Good: Amazing spec an value
Bad: Front camera is a little low res
Comment: I bought one of these at £179 and then bought my kids one each for Christmas now the price dropped. These are amazing value. They are RAPID. The stylus is great for games such as candy crush. There is zero bloatware, just a couple of note taking apps for the stylus. Games play amazingly well and there is Wireless display support and BT4.0. You don't get that on other devices around this price. You really don't need much better res than this device on a 7" as the eye won't really notice that much difference. 2x5W speakers plus base speaker compared to the HUDL 2x1w, no widi, worse camera and worse battery life... HP are now launching the EXACT same device under the HP brand but with a metal back - google for it...
Good: Nvidia Graphics
Bad: To show pix looks bad
Comment: Waste of money don't buy this
Bad: Problems the video mentioned.
Comment: It looks good and a great idea from Nvidia, but I probably won't be getting it until a bug fix is available or something.
