Good: USB port, wide screen
Bad: Cannot watch BBC iPlayer and videos on Facebook
Comment: On the whole its a pretty good pad but although you can watch videos on YouTube you cannot watch embedded YouTube vids people post to FB or watch BBC iPlayer and other such things. It says you have to download Flash from the Market but when you try to it says that you cannot download for the device. All the ads for the device say you can, but you cant.

Good: screen
Bad: andoriod market
Comment: Yes its a bit weighty and yes the screen is great but the real issue is Android Market, which for the Acer is absolutely hopeless.
About 90% of apps (free and paid) can't be downloaded and all you get is an error message saying "Can't be downloaded in your country" or "Not available for your device".
There is said to be a work around using a free app, but guess what, you can't download that either.
There's a fair amount of chat on the android forums about this from all over the world. Acer says its a google problem and google have now at least stopped saying its a hardware problem. Not that that means they're doing anything about it.
I mean you can't even download adobe flash or skype, so what's the point.

Good: The big display
Bad: Android OS
Comment: I bought an APED in January 2011. This is extremely difficult to download any APPS. youtube never worked. My friend has an IPAD. I will choose IPAD rather than have Android OS's Tablet. Sorry ACER!!!

Good: Small and responsive
Bad: Heavy, a bit buggy
Comment: Possibly the most important thing to mention with this tablet is that it's too heavy to hold one handed, unless you manage to lean it against yourself or twist your arm to hold it steady - this is not a one-handed device like the iPad.
That said it is still a worthwhile replacement for a netbook, or at a push a laptop. The screen is bright and responsive, though it has an obvious pattern to it, you cannot see it when the screen is in use. Haptic feedback is provided, same as with most Android phones.
There have been times the unit has locked up on me and rebooted (happened twice), but I think this was more down to buggy software than a hardware issue since most apps have not been converted for tablet use. Many more times Market downloads have not been properly queued and I have had to go back to the market and re-add them to the queue.
However, when it works, it works well. The unit is very responsive, and very quick. Battery life is great even when using wifi and GPS, and it works with my Android phone in its wifi broadcast mode; so a 3G connection is not required onboard. Multi tasking works really well and though the spec is below a basic laptop, it's more than enough for this machine.
Would recommend this for anyone with a need for data on the move beyond using a phone screen, who doesn't want the hassle of lugging a laptop around - especially when travelling.

Good: Bright Screen, Android 3, nice looking device, very responsive, MicroSD/USB slots
Bad: Stock gallery app, fine mesh on screen at certain viewing angles.
Comment: Firstly on the machine I bought from PCWorld UK, yesterday the Micro_SD card DOES work properly, and mounts as "external_sd" I may have had to reboot the unit, after insertion, but it DOES work and I can play music and videos from it. Dolby allows tone control (treble and bass) and prest equalisers. Web browsing experience was better than PC IE 8 or 9 (which seems to lock up for me, far too much) and the battery life seems as if it will be much better than the quoted five hours.. Video seems OK, but yet to try HD playback. Standard "gallery" picture viewer only shows full hd (1080x1920) at a much lower resolution (than the screen itself) which needs fixing but fortunately there's nemoplayer which scales down Higher Def pictures perfectly! I saw the Xoom on display, and was unhappy with the maximum brightness of the screen and the viewing angle. This does not need max brightness or it is too bright. Viewing angle seems better than Xoom too. The fine vertical mesh is only noticable at certain angles with your face right up to the screen, and isn't really annoying. Probably to do with the touch system.
