Samsung UE40B7000WW
The Samsung UE40B7000WW is truly wonderful. While we still think plasma TVs have the edge, the UE40B7000WW shows that Samsung is turning sets with LED edge lights into real competitors. We're big fans of the TV's Yahoo Widgets and media-playback capability, and were blown away by the set's ability to play MKV files -- this is truly brilliant, and we're very excited to see a TV with this functionality built in
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ6
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ6 not only does more than you could possibly expect from any pocket-sized camera, it does it spectacularly well. Other cameras may be smaller, cheaper or offer more manual control, but, as a package, the TZ6 provides unparalleled practicality, versatility and quality
Samsung NC20
The Samsung NC20 performs significantly better than netbooks based on Intel's Atom processor, thanks to its Via Nano CPU. Together with a relatively large screen and excellent battery life, it's one of the best netbooks you can get
LG Arena KM900
We'd be hard pressed to name a feature that the LG Arena KM900 doesn't have. We loved having so much power in our pocket, but it comes at a price. We found the Arena slow and unresponsive at times -- tapping out text messages, for example, is frustrating. But, if you're a patient typist dying for a touchscreen phone that does everything the iPhone can't, the Arena could be for you
Flip Video MinoHD
While the ultra-simple Flip Video MinoHD has its flaws and is rather expensive, it produces impressive video for a camcorder of its size and represents another step forward for mini-camcorders in general
Nokia N97
The Nokia N97 is another feature-packed N-series powerhouse that somewhat neglects design and usability considerations. With a great Qwerty keyboard but a disappointing resistive touchscreen, we're ultimately underwhelmed by the whole package
Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR
The Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR is a fantastic camera. The brand new EXR sensor delivers the improved high-ISO quality promised by Fujifilm, and the high-dynamic-range mode is just brilliant. Fujifilm may just have pulled the rug out from under its rivals
Asus Eee PC 1000HE
We were totally blown away by the Asus Eee PC 1000HE. It has the best battery life of any laptop we've ever tested, its keyboard is arguably just as usable as those on larger laptops, and it's stylish to boot
iriver P7
The iriver P7 is like a beautifully crafted concept car with a frustrating lack of horsepower, but the price is compelling and it's prettier than most of its rivals
HDX 1000
The HDX 1000 is a great machine and well worth your hard-earned money. The 1000 doesn't offer a massive amount of functionality over the Popcorn Hour A-110 though, plus you lose the valuable DTS decoder -- at least, for the time being. But which device you go for is really a matter of personal preference. We found the 1000's multi-format card reader handy, and prefer its design to that of the A-110
