Good: Excellent soudn with excellent noise isolation from the outside world

Bad: not durable; cables detach from their earpiece all too easily and after a while the sound is only heard from the right/left ear piece only!

Comment: The best earphones ever ... gorgeous audio, thumping bass but not overpowering, clear mid-range and excellent stereo imagery. The noise isolation is superb the best ever. Using the foam buds 95% of the outside world simply disappears.
if you have the cash buy them

I own it

Good: Sturdy wires

Bad: Too loud, and they break

Comment: I've had a pair of these for 12 months now. The first pair I received didn't work at all, so had to go straight back. The second set have just had the bass go. Additionally the rubber collars have fallen off, and they are way too loud. They come under warranty but dear god you'd have thought for the price I wouldn't need to use it.

I own it

Good: These deliver

Bad: the price .................. but

Comment: If your god wanted you to wear headphones then these are they. I was a little bit put off by the price but then what was delivered in the box changed my mind and I will outline how you justify paying for these. I use my IPOD for about 4 hours a day getting back and forward to the office. I have spent fortunes trying to get in ear phones that deliver the sound comfort. These phones feel good and offer direct to brain sound.......take time to choose the right fit from the selection that comes in the box. One done find your fave tune and press play.... you will hear things on your fave tune that you have not heard before. This is how you pay for them. Do not buy any CDs for a few months just go back and rediscover your exisiting music you will be amazed. These deliver honest sound and are worth every penny. if you listen to dance, metal, grunge, punk, reggae, hip hop whatever you will experience tru sound for the first time and your ears deserve the investment.

Good: The quality of the sound is immense with a decent recording.

Bad: Price

Comment: Well after reading some reviews, one decided it was time to find out if the Shure SE530's were as good as people say. Firstly, I also bought and used the Sony NWA805 for the testing, which provides excellent sound and function.

The first questions you tell yourself after shelling out a stupid amount of money for earphones is they had better be mega, or else their going back. So you receive the box and all the junk inside, which is of high quality. I like the cable(s) and the look of the earphones, feels like quality. So I first pop them in after playing around with the foam inserts and compare the sound quality of the STD earphones (032 something from Sony) with these beasts. Hmm, the STD earphones sound better. What the ****, ************ was muttered as utter shock to how bad they were, making the music sound worse than STD earphones. OK, I’m new to this, so did some research and realised I'm an idiot, and the recording level is so poor you would expect this. So recorded some dance-trace tracks on lossless format from CD at 256 and 352 kpbs. With STD headphones on the 256 and 352 kpbs versions sound a lot better than my previous recording, however, I could not tell the difference between the two. I then with nervousness put the SE530's on, and hoped for god sake they outperform the Sony STD earphones. Firstly, on 256 kbps it was a shock, the quality was out of this world, but on 352 kbps it blew me away. Never heard frequencies like this before, the bass can blow your head off. What I like is changing the equaliser settings with these head phones on and hearing the immense changes and variations the SE530’s provide. For dance music they are perfect, and I mean perfect. For pop songs it's hard to tell the difference between 256 and 352 kpbs versions as the music is kind of static and less demanding. Well I have been listening to the SE530's for about 8 hours and they seem to be getting better or I'm appreciating the quality more, as I popped the Sony STD earphones in, and they now just disgust me with how bad they are. Problem is you can never go back and appreciate lesser quality earphones - be warned. Yesterday tried a friends SE4's - they aren't a patch on the SE530's, spend the extra, well worth it.

Good: Amazing sound at any volume, built like a tank, accessories great

Bad: Nothing, price is even worth it

Comment: These are amazing, I've had all things, earphones from Sony ex71 to ones such as ultimate ears super fi 5 and Etymotics er4-p, these are by far and away the most unbelievable earphones I have experienced. They are smaller and much better looking than super fi 5, the cables are perfect and the foam tips are just the most comfortable creation for earphones, so that's a 10 for design. This earphone features 3 drivers in each earpeice, which just adds more accuracy and no distortion whatsoever, nothing comes close to as perfect as these, the er4-p are arguably more accurate but does accuracy mean absolute sonic bliss, nope not if accurate bass is sacrificed, I cant state how great these sound, its just a pleasure to listen to, so thats a 10 for performance. Perfect score really does reflect the perfect sound. The features, well the features are perfect, no other earphones offer pth accessories so this shows Shure is going forward with ideas aswell, just perfect, that is my honest opinion, an I've had a few earphones I can tell ya.
