Good: Heavy bass and great mids, excellent isolation.
Bad: Lack of detail in the highs
Comment: I would like to say my tastes are broad and eclectic. I have all my music in Apple Lossless and own a roster of live performances and studio albums.
If you're looking for a step up from your pre-packed iPod headphones that make listening to your music as personal and private as the WikiLeak cables scandal, then the SHURE SE115's certainly provide very tight noise isolation.
I now own a pair of Shure SE535s and they compare reasonably well. It is immediately obvious that the 115s lack the soundstage of the higher-end 535s, and the fidelity of the high-end. However the SE115s have immediately punchy mids and bass, and will satisfy anybody listening to podcasts, and dance music.

Good: Pretty
Bad: Cable Breaks
Comment: Don't buy these, as they have the fundamental flaw with all Shure products of this type - the cable breaks close to the ear. You have been warned.
