Bad: frail, slips out ear easily
Comment: I spent a fair old whack of cash on these and they have some limitatations which I would have stuck with until yesterday when the left hand side just stopped working. when you look closely you can see the cable is not a sealed unit in 2 places, so if they do get jerked about, like for example your ipod falls to the ground and they get yanked out your ear, wont be long before this type of problem happens.
Also because they are so light and their trendy transparent plastic plugs have low 'friction' to your skin compared to anything rubbery like sennheiser, if you are doing something like running they tend to slide out a lot. There is a ton of cable rumble as well, you better get a clip.
its so annoying, this is the third pair of headphones that doesnt seem to be totally thought through, it amazes me how these things get released knowing that reviewers will be all about style and a cursory glance and how fashionable it is as opposed to how well it really works. (we all know cnet do this with all apple products ;)
Good: My darling wife likes them
Comment: I bought these for my wife a while ago (and I don't see why it has taken cnet so long to review them). And they are great, fit and forget. The cables are fine, better than my Shure 310 on which the cables keep on wearing out. Good sound when I have used then, extremely light and comfortable. An expensive winner. I will buy another pair as a spare when they are on offer somewhere.
