"All style, no substance"
What I like:
Looks well made and on 1st impression seems quite user friendly
What I don't like:
Garmin's total lack of support and outdated maps along with poor text to speech
Review:
If you do not have a problem with using outdated maps, never require any manufacture's support and you believe your Nuvi never goes wrong this is the product for you. For example any new roads built in Spain in the last 2 years will not show in your Nuvi. In England you will be warned about speed restrictions for roadworks 2 years after the roadworks are completed. Extra features such as FM linkage with media player are little more than a joke. The text to speech software is pretty poor. Previous uploads of "the latest" data from Garmin failed to cure the above problems until my last upload. Since then it has stopped working. Help from Garmin is virtually non existent so I will have to trash a GPS barely 12 months old. I thinking of purchasing an aviation GPS from Garmin but I have no faith in this company anymore. Do not be fooled my good looks and first impressions!
