The Wii MotionPlus adaptor promises to provide finer control with the Wii remote, and we found it delivers well with some games. Ultimately, it's up to developers to make the most of the MotionPlus, but this accessory has great potential. We'd like to see a Wii remote with it built in, though

Nintendo DSi
The DSi offers bigger screens and better audio quality than its predecessor, the DS Lite, as well an improved menu system, twin cameras and audio-playback capability. Battery life has fallen and more could have been made of some of its features, but the DSi is a great games console for those who don't already own a Lite

Underplaying processing power and using a strange new controller setup could have been major mistakes. But we think Nintendo has pulled it off. It's strange, it's new and it's not as powerful as other consoles, but the Wii succeeds in its primary mission: fun

Nintendo DS Lite
The DS Lite makes the same fashion statement for videogame systems that the iPod did for MP3 players -- slimmed down and brightened up, it's a beauty. It may not have the multimedia capabilities of the Sony PSP, but it can play games online and the games themselves are colourful, innovative and lots of fun -- and the DS Lite is much cheaper
