Good: Much imporved over the original in every respect..

Comment: Brings the 360 more onto the "high tech gadget" field that the PS3 sits on and takes it away from the "gamer" scene. Overall good.. but still not a perfect package which is a shame after 5 years!!!

Good: The 250GB hard drive and built in Wi-Fi is great and really useful.

Comment: It's a great console, however I don't really see the point in it. It's just like the older model just with a few changes. Microsoft needed to either make a completely new console ( Like 3D gaming of something).

Good: HDMI, Quietness, Size, Storage

Comment: Bought an Xbox 360 S to replace my ageing Xbox 360 Premium from 2005! The addition of HDMI and the larger hard drive were both factors in upgrading. After 20GB of hard drive space for the last 5 years 250GB is positively gigantic!

I hadn't thought that using HDMI over HD composite would make much of a difference but text appears clearer and colours seem brighter (of course this could be the placebo effect!)

The transfer process was fairly painless. I intended to leave my brothers profil on the original Xbox which h is inheriting. Save games however did not transfer, luckily this was fixed by reattaching the old hard drive and moving his save games back again.

Overall I'm very happy with the new Xbox. Just wish Microsoft would bring out a Blu-Ray accessory so I can make full use of this new-fangled HDMI!

Good: It's an Xbox 360, only better.

Bad: The power brick

Comment: I love the old Xbox 360, this one supposed to have most of the improvements, and fixed the issues, that many people have been asking for / complained about.

Comment: My friend just got one, it's so much quieter than the old design, however if you lay it flat on a wooden surface the vibrations from the disc drive can make the console sound just as loud as it's ever been - I can only imagine this is down to the compact design having less space between components and making it more rigid, causing more noise as the disc drive revolves. The sound issues are negated when you stand it vertically, however. If you're thinking of laying it flat consider buying some vibration pads to stick underneath it.
