Comment: I'm getting goosebumps when I see the rain drops on the Kindle brrrrr! :-) Anyway, i'm on a hunt for some cool customisable case for it (my friend is in a band and wants to create one with their logo and photo).

Any idea where, and if, he could do that?? Thanks for your help.

Not for me

Comment: I prefer the original Amazon Kindle. the one that had keyboards on it. That one looks much more better. And I also like typing keyboards instead of typing on the screen. This is the main reason I bought my Blackberry

Good: easy to use, light, easy on the eyes

Bad: recess to screen means night time reading under a lamp produces shadows

Comment: I've had the US version of this device for a couple of months now, but can't buy books from the Amazon(UK) store directly on device (at the present time).

I used a Nookcolor to read eBooks previously (with screen turned to white text on black & brightness right down at night) and held off getting a Kindle due to non touch-screen.

The touch screen gets some getting used to, but with Amazon releasing 5.0.4 firmware/software on the device it has resolved some of the earlier teething problems.

I would recommend the device, & would say the extra cost for a 3G enabled version is a bit much for the privilege of downloading books on the move, especially when you can tether to an iPhone or other mobile device via wifi to perform the same job.

As to which Kindle version is best for you, I would recommend checking them out in person 1st, the keyboard Kindle version was not for me, but might suit others, so try/test before you decide.

I own it

Good: Portability

Bad: Just another way to damage your eyes on a small screen.

Comment: To be honest, I don't see how these sell,
Most mobile devices have e-book features.

I personally hate reading off these, they hurt my eyes after a while.
I'll just read a book instead.

Good: Works in the UK, Good screen quality, nice design, better audio functions than Kindle Keyboard

Bad: Touch screen can be unresponsive, slightly heavy, crippled 3G

Comment: I am the founder of the UK Kindle Users Forum and the Kindle Touch has been tested fully in the UK. For information about the tests, a review and information on how to get hold of one come to http://www.kuforum.co.uk/kindleusersforum/forum-81.html
