Panasonic SC-BTX70
The 2.1-channel Panasonic SC-BTX70 home-cinema system with built-in Blu-ray player is a curious-looking specimen, and its virtual 7.1-channel surround-sound processing isn't entirely convincing. But its picture quality is fantastic and its super-slim main component will suit those who like to mount their equipment on the wall

Panasonic DMP-B15
Watching Blu-ray movies on an 8.9-inch screen is a seemingly ridiculous proposition, but the DMP-B15 won us over in the end. As well as delivering the best pictures we've ever seen on a portable device, it also functions as an excellent living-room player when connected to a TV via its HDMI port

Panasonic DMR-EX89
The DMR-EX89 Freeview personal video recorder is pricey, although, if you can afford it, we doubt you'll be disappointed. We'd like to see a second Freeview tuner included, but this machine looks good and offers plenty of flexibility, letting you record to both DVDs and its 400GB hard drive

Panasonic DMR-EX79
The DMR-EX79 is one of the better Freeview personal video recorders out there. We wish it were cheaper and sported a second Freeview tuner, but it's a sturdy machine that offers plenty of recording flexibility thanks to its 250GB hard drive and DVD writing capability

Panasonic SC-PT870
It doesn't look like anyone at Panasonic HQ had much fun designing the SC-PT870 but it's a good 5.1-channel home-cinema system nevertheless. Music played via the USB socket isn't much cop, but the system performs admirably otherwise, delivering particularly impressive sound with movies

Panasonic DMR-BS750
We have no idea how Panasonic has managed it, but a box this size has surely never done so many things before. The BS750 lets you watch free high-definition broadcasts, record them to Blu-ray disc and play Blu-ray movies and all their cool online features. You can even watch YouTube. The only problem: the price

Panasonic DMP-BD60
The DMP-BD60 Blu-ray player is a corker, offering a simple but stylish design, awesome picture quality and good online functionality. It's not the fastest-loading player available, but, if you want minimum fuss and maximum quality, you won't go far wrong with this machine

Panasonic DMR-EX88
The Panasonic DMR-EX88 comes with a high-end price tag, but its features are certainly up to scratch. A Freeview recorder PVR with a massive 400GB hard drive and a DVD recorder built in, it will also play Xvid and DivX files and upscale your DVDs. That should clear out some space under the TV

Panasonic DMR-EX77
Stuck the VHS in the loft? Need to record something while you're at a barbecue? Panasonic's latest solution is the EX77, a 160GB hard-disk Freeview PVR with a DVD burner built in. This means you can archive old programmes and keep those classic shows you can't bear to delete

Panasonic DMR-EZ27EB
If you're in the market for a dedicated DVD recorder, the Panasonic DMR-EZ27EB might well have your name on it -- as well as looking half decent, it has a built-in Freeview receiver, so you can burn even more telly to DVD

Panasonic DMR-EX85
The EX85 is Panasonic's most comprehensively equipped digital recorder. It's crammed with more recording and playback features than you can imagine, including an enormous 250GB hard drive, universal disc compatibility and integrated video scaling. The impressive on-paper specification is supported by quality performance in practice

Panasonic DMP-BD10
Following Samsung's BD-P1000, this is only the second Blu-ray player to arrive in Europe. It delivers hi-def pictures up to a resolution of 1080p, as well as 7.1-channel surround sound. At £1,100, the DMP-BD10 has some real impressing to do to justify that outlay

Panasonic DMR-EX75
Panasonic's DMR-EX75 features a 160GB hard drive and compatibility with all disc formats -- in a single system. This versatility is complemented by excellent usability and great quality images, particularly when upscaled to high definition and output to an HD Ready TV through HDMI. The only drawbacks are the steep price and the single digital tuner

Panasonic DMR-ES15
The ES15 is Panasonic's most affordable disc recorder to date and as an entry-level upgrade to your VCR, it's ideal. Multi-format compatibility means you can record and playback using practically any disc format, while the informative menu system and intuitive remote makes operation simple

Panasonic DMRES20D
The ES20D is Panasonic's first DVD recorder and digital tuner combo unit, offering high-quality picture recordings and convenient scheduling from the electronic programme guide, which is integrated beautifully. The unit's lack of a hard drive is its major weakness, as a DVD isn't big enough to record all your programmes while on holiday

Panasonic DMR-EH80V
Panasonic's DVD recorders are renowned for ease-of-use, boding well for a machine that dares to combine DVD, hard drive and VHS recording. While recorders that feature the former two are commonplace, the addition of VHS is relatively rare and a useful function for many

Panasonic DMR-EH60D
The Panasonic DMR-EH60D is the first DVD/hard-drive recorder with an integrated Freeview tuner, but like many firsts it could use an instant upgrade -- two tuners would mean you could watch something different while recording. It offers excellent recording and playback quality, however

Panasonic DVD-LS90
Thanks to its highly adjustable neck, the DVD-LS90 is perfect for watching DVDs from any angle, and it sounds great too. But its large screen has a relatively low resolution, so the picture quality is very poor

Panasonic DMREH50
This DVD recorder is bursting with supported formats -- only DVD+RW is missing -- and it offers an incredibly intuitive recording system as well as the world's best remote. But 80GB is a tad stingy for a hard drive recorder and there's no Freeview tuner or FireWire support

Panasonic TUCTH100
Panasonic's first stab at a Freeview recorder doesn't pull any punches -- it features two tuners, a wonderful interface and good connectivity. But its 80GB hard drive isn't overwhelmingly large, and at £80 more than the competition, its value credentials are in doubt
