"Great simple machine"

Picture quality in 4 hour mode
What I don't like:
No chapter insert on dvd-r/+r or dvd-rw/+rw
Review:
Being a technician hooking up and using this product was a no-brainer for me. I choose this brand because 1: Panasonic/Matsushita electronics were one of the founders/creators of the DVD medium; and 2: the resolution it has on 4-hour mode. Also the unit is easy enough for my wife to use it (I have a myriad of electronics and anything she doesn't have to call me at work to walk her through to operate is a plus in my book!) I highly recommend this unit to anyone, layman or experienced hi-fi/video enthusiast.

Well-specified and its picture quality is first-rate, but it doesn't quite sound awesome enough to justify its cost
