"This unit has great features, but I wish it could be more reliable"
What I like:
Great recording quality, quick fast-forward and rewind - 64x!
What I don't like:
Picture can sometimes freeze, even with very strong signal
Review:
Overall this is a great unit, and my reason for only rating it 6 is due to its reliability problems.
I have had 2 of these boxes, after the first one repeatedly froze during viewing live broadcasts or recording broadcasts, at least once a day. The fault was not a signal problem, just hardware or firmware.
My second box is better but still likes to freeze up every now and then. Humax say they are aware of the fault, and will be releasing a firmware upgrade.

Well-specified and its picture quality is first-rate, but it doesn't quite sound awesome enough to justify its cost
