Review:
Ok so I got this great DVD/VCR combi, a new product, cost a fortune 2 years ago. Worked for a few weeks, then got the "LOADING" flashing bug - sent it back for firmware update, but when it came back it still didn't work properly. Got worse and worse over the next few months... wouldn't read a couple of discs, then refused more and more discs until ANY new DVD gets rejected as unreadable. Even before that, all CDs were rejected, so we couldn't play music except by plugging in the iPod. Cleaned it lots of times, and the DVDs too - they still don't work. Now it won't play or read or record any disc at all, and we're going to buy a new player and trash this heap of junk. Letters to JVC are useless, they give bland replies about firmware problems, other customer's satisfaction, etc etc. I've read a lot of message boards on this player and very few people have had a good experience. Don't buy it. Your sanity is worth more.

Well-specified and its picture quality is first-rate, but it doesn't quite sound awesome enough to justify its cost
