Hello I'm Ian Morris with cnet.co.uk and this is the Panasonic DMR-EX77 a DVD recorder with built in hard drive and Freeview receiver which will enable you to record all of your favourite TV shows.
The styling of the DMR-EX77 is pretty funky. It's finished in an attractive black and there are only three buttons on the front of the unit. There is a simple display and a massive sticker that reminds us that this DVD recorder also upscales your video to an impressive 1080p.
Round the back we've got the usual smorgasbord of connectivity options, including HDMI out, for those all important 1080p signals, there are regular composite video and s-video outputs ,two scart sockets and component out. There is also an aerial connection to feed the Freeview portion of the box.
Using the Panasonic is nice and easy too, you can easily assign recordings to the hard disc, or DVD. Once recorded you can easily find them to play back via the navigator menu system, which gives you both a moving thumbnail and the programme name.

A simple but very useful DVD and Freeview PVR that offers great upscaling performance for DVDs and has plenty of space to record TV programmes from Freeview
