Typical price: £30
What is it: Freeview recorder with 160GB hard drive and on-demand video features
What we think: It's got some annoying tics, but some great features and a lovely interface make this is an absolute bargain for customers of BT

We like:
Low price; lovely menus; dual tuners; plenty of memory; quiet; on-demand video
We don't like:
Ugly box; crashes every so often; hard drive never stops spinning; on-demand content difficult to browse; wired connection to BT Home Hub
You might also need:
HDMI cable; BT Home Hub
CNET UK judgement:
If you're already a BT broadband customer and you don't have a PVR, this is an absolute bargain -- and the on-demand content is simply a bonus. But if you're with a different ISP this isn't worth switching for, and despite a lovely interface, its content just can't compare with Sky or Virgin Media
