A combined home cinema system and DVD recorder will help eliminate some of the clutter underneath your TV, and Philips have made a valiant attempt at providing an all-in-one solution. Of course, many people will bemoan the absence of a hard drive recorder, but the system is well designed, if not particularly powerful

Stack up the electronics currently living under your TV, and chances are you'll have more than a few boxes and a veritable spider's web of cables. Think about it -- the average household is likely to have at least a DVD player/recorder, Freeview/Sky receiver and games console, while a good proportion will have an AV receiver, SACD/DVD-Audio player, hi-fi and 5.1 speaker system as well. Home cinema systems with cool features
Home cinema systems have come a long way from being the poor man's surround-sound setup. The four systems featured here have features that set them apart from separates, and they're all from quality manufacturers. Only one is an actual 5.1 system, but they all have genuinely interesting features that make them worth a look for the bedroom
