Good: the flexibility to do Hard disc housekeeping
Bad: Noisy Fan, Old now, so no Freeview tuner built in
Comment: Gosh felt i had to stick up for my old friend...
Ok - so its alittle hard to navigate the manual, functions arnt always where you think they should be
BUT... read the manual, take your time and its by far the most flexible machine out there (at the time of release 2006-2007)
Record from TV, Satellite, Freeview, VHS, external DV cam, whatever!
- straight to the Hard disc, add chapters, delete sections (adverts) record multiple episodes and bolt them together with chapter marks, either permanantly or temporarily (a playlist) when the HDD is filling up: either dub at 4 speed onto DVD or, if its cramped for space let it re-encode whilst dubbing at a lesser encode rate.
Programmes on the hard disc can be re-named and thumbnails produced quickly and easily and so quickly easily dubbed to DVD if someone comes round and wants to borrow something.
