Good: The display of all titles, which also plays the current selected title while you view others
Bad: Picture has some noise on playback. Definitely not as sharp as my old Philips recorder
Comment: Great for the money. Picture quality not as good as Philips but will hopefully be more reliable (I have had two now that tend to develope a disc reading problem -- usually just outside of warranty). Having said this picture quality is better than a Sony model I tried before taking back to Argos.

Good: DVD RAM Recording
Bad: No DVB (Freeview)
Comment: Wonderful machine, got this free with my TV. Everything works very well, quality is good even on LP and below. Use it with DVD RAM for full features (navigator, timeslip etc). I would have gone for the one with DVB had it not been a freebie, hence only 8 out of 10. If your budget won't stretch to the next model, you will not be disappointed.

Good: Picture quality in 4 hour mode
Bad: No chapter insert on dvd-r/+r or dvd-rw/+rw
Comment: Being a technician hooking up and using this product was a no-brainer for me. I choose this brand because 1: Panasonic/Matsushita electronics were one of the founders/creators of the DVD medium; and 2: the resolution it has on 4-hour mode. Also the unit is easy enough for my wife to use it (I have a myriad of electronics and anything she doesn't have to call me at work to walk her through to operate is a plus in my book!) I highly recommend this unit to anyone, layman or experienced hi-fi/video enthusiast.
