Good: Nothing
Bad: It's useless
Comment: Ok so I got this great DVD/VCR combi, a new product, cost a fortune 2 years ago. Worked for a few weeks, then got the "LOADING" flashing bug - sent it back for firmware update, but when it came back it still didn't work properly. Got worse and worse over the next few months... wouldn't read a couple of discs, then refused more and more discs until ANY new DVD gets rejected as unreadable. Even before that, all CDs were rejected, so we couldn't play music except by plugging in the iPod. Cleaned it lots of times, and the DVDs too - they still don't work. Now it won't play or read or record any disc at all, and we're going to buy a new player and trash this heap of junk. Letters to JVC are useless, they give bland replies about firmware problems, other customer's satisfaction, etc etc. I've read a lot of message boards on this player and very few people have had a good experience. Don't buy it. Your sanity is worth more.

Good: It looks smart...
Bad: It KEEPS GOING WRONG!
Comment: This product, despite being very expensive when we bought it nearly three years ago, has been constantly unreliable. After the first year it started flashing LOADING and blue light non-stop, wouldn't respond to any buttons. Sent it back to JVC, it was gone for nearly two months, came back supposedly fixed. Then we started getting a lot of DISC ERROR messages, it's now so bad that NO CDs will play at all, and only about one third of the DVDs. Recording was fine until today when it abruptly stopped, to then flash the dreaded LOADING again. We're getting back to JVC as soon as possible, but wonder if it's worth fixing. Such a useless piece of ****, we're royally ticked off. Don't buy it, life's too short for this.
