Good: Cool styling, Front AV inputs, Excellent picture (when it worked!)

Bad: Terrible reliability, very slow to operate. Constant format & unreadable disc errors

Comment: I was won over by the connectivity, feel and, cool aesthetics of this super slim sexy sleek design all at a price to keep your bank manager very happy. It is however fundamentally flawed, under the sexy exterior Hitachi have clearly cut corners and built this recorder down to a price. It is just over 15 months old and has now after dozens of lock ups and format errors died on me. This recorder is no longer available but the experience I have had with this one would make me think twice about another Hitachi, you have been warned!
