Good: Everything actually. Excelent picture and sound, top build quality, HDMI upscaling really works

Bad: DVD player size, the remote is from the previous century

Comment: I had "normal" DVD players connected via SCART to CRT TV. Now I have a HD LCD 32'' display and I got the new Denon DVD-1730 connected via HDMI. Rich and vibrant colours, excellent sound, improved contrast. Lots of picture adjustments for best possible quality. HDMI upscaling really works, and no macro-blocking or picture to sound delay. Everything is just perfect. I love the build quality of the player.
Last weekend I saw the complete Back to the Future trilogy and I tell you that it never looked so good.

I really recommend it for the normal user that seeks value for money, that has a HD display and wants to make the best of its DVD movies while HD-DVD and Blu-ray doesn't come out.
