Typical price: £119
What is it: Rugged, weatherproof digital radio with 15-hour battery life
What we think: Its heavy weight makes the Oasis a chore to lug around, but the astonishing durability and excellent audio quality more than compensate

"An outstanding digital radio"
What I like:
Great sound, very portable, extremely robust and can be used virtually anywhere.
What I don't like:
A bit on the heavy side, could do with a bigger screen.
Review:
Superb. It follows me everywhere round the house and garden.

Philips AE5200
Great FM performance, but its DAB tuner is weak, so the AE5200 fell short of our expectations
