Typical price: £89
What is it: A small and light MP3 player for casual use
What we think: The U1's formal styling and compact size make it a good USB key-style player. Though sound quality is lacklustre, it's better than most

"Great little player, shame about the battery life"
What I like:
The size, neat and petite, ingenious USB port charger
What I don't like:
The battery life
Review:
A good first player, for someone who just needs a simple MP3 player to listen to on the way to work etc, and who isn't bothered about a million gadgets or buttons.
