Typical price: £185
What is it: MP3 player with 20GB hard drive
What we think: The wire-brushed aluminium chassis and integration with Windows are masterstrokes. However, a very fiddly control system and no support for the Mac means the Sleek falls tantalisingly short of greatness

"Great player for £109!!"
What I like:
Robust, sounds great and avoids iTunes which is horrible
What I don't like:
It sometimes fails to name tracks properly. Needs a silicon case.
Review:
Great plays 20GB of MP3s for a fantastic price. My kids have had iPod 20GB players, they tend to lock up and the software is not intuitive. Creative's bundle is loads better, or you can use Media Player. I am happy with its looks.

In our recent Sonos ZonePlayer S5 story we said the S5 was the most affordable entry into the world of Sonos. That was a total lie, we're afraid: the cheapest way is to win one from us
