MP3 players with radio

Cowon's iAudio D2 DMB (DAB) not only features an FM radio, but also comes with full DAB support. It's got a gorgeous touch-sensitive display, an SD card slot, more customisation options than you can shake a stick at and it sounds fantastic. Having both an FM and DAB radio is really handy when you're on the move, since DAB, being digital, can be patchy when the signal drops even for just a second.

The SanDisk Sansa Express is a really slim, affordable and great-sounding player that can be expanded with microSD cards. The built-in FM radio and general ease-of-use makes this a great choice for anyone new to digital music. Sound quality is excellent and files can simply be dragged and dropped onto the player through Windows -- even the USB connector is built into the player, so there's no need to mess around with cables.

Creative's Zen Stone Plus, despite being the tripped-out version of the Zen Stone, is still an exceedingly lightweight player with a pebble-esque form factor and a minuscule cost. Considering just how small this little guy is, it sounds terrific. While this model isn't as painfully simple to use as the Sansa Express, it's still incredibly basic and the FM radio takes no time to master. The only downside is that unlike its competitor, the iPod Shuffle, it doesn't have a clip for fixing to your jacket's lapel.

Finally, the iRiver Clix 2 -- one of our favourite MP3 players. Aside from its sleek design and innovative navigation system, the Clix 2 offers terrific sound quality and a high quality video playback. As a dedicated FM radio it might be a little pricey for most people. But for anyone who wants a full-featured MP3 player with a radio as a bonus, the Clix 2 would be a superb choice.
