What is it: MP3 player with photo viewing and 8GB hard drive
What we think: The Creative Zen Micro Photo is an excellent MP3 player and a decent photo viewer, but it doesn't combine the two effectively

We like:
Bright, colourful OLED that's viewable from any angle; available in a choice of ten body colours; replaceable battery; includes voice recorder, photo viewer, FM tuner, onboard calendar and task manager that syncs with Microsoft Outlook; out-of-the-box compatible with Janus (Windows Media DRM 10); excellent sound quality
We don't like:
Doesn't let you listen to music and browse photos simultaneously; album art not supported yet; touch pad can take some getting used to
CNET UK judgement:
The Creative Zen Micro Photo is an excellent full-featured MP3 player and, for its size, a decent photo viewer; it just doesn't combine the two effectively

The microdrive MP3 player is a hair smaller than its predecessor, yet it offers 8GB of storage for a reasonable £200 (you can find it cheaper if you shop around online). Continue Reading...

In our recent Sonos ZonePlayer S5 story we said the S5 was the most affordable entry into the world of Sonos. That was a total lie, we're afraid: the cheapest way is to win one from us
