Review:
I have only had my hands on this camera for a short while but even this early on I think this is a terrific device. Although not perfect in every aspect, as an all round compact point and click camera it takes some beating. If want to own a pocket camera that takes great pictures in a wide variety of locations and lighting conditions with a minimum of fuss then you can't do much better than this.
A couple of specific points ..
The much maligned shape of the camera albeit unusual causes me no problems, even when used one handed I find the camera comfortable in the hand and well balanced.
The control dial on the other hand seems rather strange and pointless but then the Ixus 850 has a touch sensitive dial which was almost as strange. I simply ignore this "feature" and use the more conventional directional rocker instead.
