Typical price: £320
What is it: 12-megapixel superzoom with EXR sensor tech
What we think: Outguns other superzooms, although the EXR technology feels underused

We like:
Long 14.3x zoom; good design; great value for money
We don't like:
EXR features aren't fully integrated with the rest of the camera; sensor size limits quality
CNET UK judgement:
The build quality, handling and controls of the Fujifilm FinePix S200EXR really are surprising given its price. It's just like a digital SLR, but much cheaper, and so much more pleasant to handle than rival superzooms, thanks to its size and manual zoom control. But the clever EXR technology feels like an add-on, and the small sensor size puts a cap on picture quality
