Typical price: £200
What is it: 12-megapixel compact with 7x zoom
What we think: Competent but charmless, it's a middle-of-the-road range-filler that lacks any kind of standout feature

We like:
Reasonable combination of features and price; does the job well enough
We don't like:
Ugly design and finish; no standout features
Also known as:
Olympus mju-7000
CNET UK judgement:
The Olympus mju 7000 is competent, but offers nothing that makes it stand out. You'd probably be better off with either the mju 5000 or mju 9000
