Typical price: £190
What is it: 10-megapixel superzoom with 12x zoom lens
What we think: Viable alternative to budget dSLRs with a long, stable zoom outweighing average build and image quality

We like:
Huge, stabilised 12x zoom; easy manual features; nice movies
We don't like:
Average images; small LCD and weak viewfinder
CNET UK judgement:
In a world of sub-£300 dSLRs, is there still a need for superzooms? Just about. As well as saving you £100, this 10-megapixel Kodak boasts a powerful, stabilised lens, decent HD-style -- if not true HD quality -- movies and a relatively slim waistline. Don't expect dSLR-level image quality, though
