Typical price: £380
What is it: Compact camera with 10-megapixel sensor and wide-angle 3x zoom
What we think: A flexible, quirky wide-angle compact for the photographer who has (almost) everything

We like:
Sharp wide-angle zoom; excellent manual controls; solid pictures
We don't like:
Some shooting delays; weak autofocus; average image stabilisation
You might also need:
The separate electronic viewfinder (£100) adds framing flexibility. Lens converter (£100) for ultra-wide 19mm shooting
CNET UK judgement:
An expensive -- but not over-priced -- compact camera that will appeal to enthusiast snappers bored with average lenses, average interfaces and average pictures. The wide-angle zoom lens in particular offers flexibility and competence in a fully manual package. The separate electronic viewfinder is far from essential, though
