Apple iMac (27-inch, unibody, 2009)
With a 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, the 27-inch Apple iMac that we reviewed doesn't offer a dramatic increase in speed compared to previous models, but the LED-backlit display and specification tweaks are still very welcome. Unless your current iMac is on its last legs though, we'd be inclined to wait and see what the upcoming quad-core version of the 27-inch iMac offers
Apple iMac (4th gen)
With its super-elegant new design and a strong configuration, Apple's new iMac competes with the PC desktop market better than any previous Mac to date. Unless you're a gamer or an upgrade enthusiast, we can think of very few reasons not to make an iMac your next desktop
Apple Mac mini (2009 edition)
While we're still impressed that the Apple Mac mini packs so much into a small package, some rival PCs offer more features for less money. If saving space and using Mac OS are important factors for you, the new Mac minis will appeal, but your money will go further with a budget Windows desktop
Apple iMac (24-inch, 2009 edition)
Apple has made a number of changes to its 24-inch iMac, most notably on the inside, although the display has had a few tweaks too. The updates are welcome, and its multitasking capability remains unmatched. Provided you prefer your all-in-ones as straightforward desktop computers, the iMac will meet your expectations with speed and elegance
Acer AspireRevo R3600
The Acer AspireRevo R3600 is the most versatile nettop we've tested to date. Aided by its Nvidia ION chipset, it's capable of playing games and running 1080p movies. Ultimately, it's very good value for anyone that requires a cheap second PC
Dell XPS 710 H2C
The 710 H2C is a stunning-looking and blisteringly quick computer -- it makes the vast majority of PCs look like pocket calculators. Buy one if you have the cash. Hell, buy us one too
Dell Studio One 19
Apple's iMac won't be toppled off the all-in-one-PC throne by the Dell Studio One 19. The One 19 introduces some good ideas, but the touchscreen interface doesn't work as well as the company may have hoped
Dell Studio XPS 435
With a charming case design and strong configuration at a relatively fair price, our Dell Studio XPS 435 review sample successfully overcame our bias against desktops that claim to be experts at everything. It falls short of greatness, but, if you need a do-it-all mainstream tower system, this machine more or less covers all of the bases
Sony Vaio VGC-JS2E
The Sony Vaio VGC-JS2E is a seriously stylish all-in-one PC that also offers solid performance. It's just a shame it lacks a Blu-ray drive, TV tuner and 'Full HD' screen
Asus Nova Lite Mini 2L
The Nova Lite isn't a particularly fast machine, but it's well designed and entirely suitable for purpose. If you're looking for a quiet, attractive Media Center, it might just fit the bill
