Comment: I bought my iMac as an upgrade from a previous eMac as I needed to move away from an Power-PC.
I've never had any major problems with the iMac, it has great performance, even when running Windows as a virtual machine at the same time.
The only issue I have is that it isn't a very good machine for running full-screen games, it sometimes struggles to run games at it's native resolution, so needed a better graphics card.

I own it

Good: The incredibly clear high contrast screen. The speakers are very clear and offer very good sound for music and movie listening. The large 1 or 2 terabyte drive, the 16 GB capability of RAM, the large area (27" diag.) screen, wireless networking its multiple ports - all-in-all,a veryy good buy and value for money!

Bad: a larger keyboard with numeric keypad (extended type or full) is missing.

Comment: I purchased this 2.8 GHz i7 Quad core 27" iMac the US a refurbished model, saved $$$ and brought back to Russia, where I live. Hooked it up to my Extreme Router and immediately started to use it. I am totally Wi-Fi now and the lack of cables is dandy! Also, this 27" replaced Russia's FIRST Mac G4 500 4-port enet Server (1999), with 21.5 PrecisionView monitor - naturally upgraded to 1.4GHz and 2 GB RAM, but noisy!.

The brilliance of this monitor is incredible - I generally run it at about 60% of capability for comfort in a brightly lit room. I also have 2 17" Intel Core 2 Duo laptops. Now the almost perfect Mac office network for me. Built-in iSight camera gives a very sharp image and all Mac software works seamlessly as usual. I also run a copy of Parallels with both XP and Windows 7 for assisting my 'Windows' platform clients.

If you are thinking about computing power (without commercial movie-making), screen size and comfort of navigation, this baby is for you!

I own it

Good: The Design,Performance and Useability

Bad: Magic Mouse.

Comment: I have had the IMac 21.5" for 2 1/2 months now and all I can say is wow! My whole computing experience has changed and the way i use computers is very much changed to. The only thing that i think that Apple have let down on is the magic mouse, it looks brilliant and stylish however, it sits too low to the desk and doesn't have the same comfort as some cheaper mice. Overall the IMac 21.5" is the best computer that i have ever owned.
